Notifications

The bell in the dashboard header opens your notifications, and Notifications in the sidebar is the full list. Order alerts and system updates land here.

The list

Search across your notifications, or filter to Unread. Each entry can be marked read with Mark read, and Mark all read clears the lot after confirming how many it is about to touch.

Notifications are per person. Marking one read does not mark it read for your colleagues, which is deliberate: an alert everyone can clear for everyone is an alert nobody reads.

What the bell is not

The bell is not where you work orders. A new online order needs accepting, and that happens on the Orders screen — the notification is a prompt, not the queue. During service, watch the Orders screen or the kitchen display; the bell is for things you can deal with when you have a minute.

On the POS app

Push notifications on a phone or tablet are separate from this list, and are registered per device when you sign in. See Devices.

If nothing is arriving

Order alert emails and notifications are queued in the background rather than sent during the request, so a short delay is normal. A long silence is worth reporting, with the time of an order you expected an alert for.
