Clocking in and out
Staff clock in and out by scanning an attendance station, which opens the attendance screen on the device. Staff attendance covers timesheets, approvals and payroll export; this page is the thing a member of staff actually taps.
- Plans
- Brasserie, Signature, Enterprise
- Can it be switched off?
- Yes — an owner or manager can turn it off under Setup → Features.
- Limit
- Up to 1000 (stations). Your own limit is set on your plan and may be lower.
Scanning in
Section titled “Scanning in”Scan the station’s code — or tap an NFC station where your venue uses them. The screen names which it was, QR attendance or NFC attendance, and names the station it belongs to.
Then one button, which is whichever you need next: Clock in or Clock out. The app knows which, so there is nothing to choose and no way to clock in twice.

- Signature, Enterprise
- Can it be switched off?
- Yes — an owner or manager can turn it off under Setup → Features.
- Needs first
- QR clock-in and clock-out. This stays off until all of them are in your plan and switched on.
The location check
Section titled “The location check”A station is either strict about where you are standing, or it only makes a note:
| Station policy | What happens |
|---|---|
| Strict | This station requires a one-time location check within 50 metres. The clock-in is refused if you are not there |
| Standard | This station records optional one-time proximity evidence. It notes where you were and lets you through |
Either way the check happens once, at the moment you clock in, not continuously through your shift. The app is not tracking you while you work.
A strict station needs the device’s location permission. Without it, there is nothing to check against and the clock-in cannot complete.
Breaks
Section titled “Breaks”Start break and End break are separate from clocking out. Only one is available at a time — you cannot start a second break while one is open, and you cannot end a break you did not start.
Clock out at the end of the shift, not at the start of a break. A break is unpaid or paid time within the shift, and your timesheet needs to see both halves.
Dynamic codes
Section titled “Dynamic codes”Where your venue uses rotating station codes, a photographed or screenshotted code stops working shortly afterwards. That is the point of it — it stops one person clocking in for another.
