The guided tour
The dashboard has its own walkthrough. It runs the first time somebody signs in, and it can be replayed at any time from the question mark in the header: Show guided tour.
The same menu holds Open documentation, which is the link to this site.
Running it
Section titled “Running it”It is a sequence of eight short steps. Each one highlights the part of the screen it is talking about, and the footer carries Back, Next, a step counter and Done on the last one. You can leave at any point and start again later; nothing is recorded as finished or unfinished.
The eight steps
Section titled “The eight steps”| Step | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Welcome to your restaurant dashboard | How the dashboard is organised: Service, Catalog, Money, Team, Setup and Storefront. |
| Main navigation | The left menu — orders and tables under Service, menu and inventory under Catalog, reports under Money, staff under Team. |
| Setup | Business details, hours, printers, customers, subscriptions and plan features. |
| Locations | Switching the active branch, or viewing all of them. Data and orders follow the branch you select. |
| Notifications | Order alerts and system updates, and that the bell is reachable at any time without the sidebar. |
| Your account | Your profile, password and PIN — and that Restaurant Setup is linked from the same menu. |
| Help & documentation | Replaying the tour, and opening these guides. |
Each step has a written equivalent here, which is the better place to read it properly: Dashboard tour, Your home dashboard, The setup hub, Locations and branch offerings, Notifications and Your profile.
When it is worth running
Section titled “When it is worth running”- A new member of office staff on their first day. Five minutes, and it saves the “where do I find…” questions.
- After an upgrade that added a sidebar group. The tour describes what is on your screen, so it reflects your plan and your role.
On a tablet
Section titled “On a tablet”This tour is the web dashboard’s. The POS app has its own in-app guidance and its own layout — start at What the POS app does.
