The menu is wrong on one device
The POS app keeps a local copy of the catalogue so it can sell with no connection. A device that has not refreshed that copy is showing yesterday’s menu.
Try the sync first
Section titled “Try the sync first”This device’s settings → Sync menu & device data:
Download the latest catalog, receipt layouts, tables, printers, and offline caches. Existing data is kept if sync fails or you are offline.
That last sentence matters: a failed sync does not wipe what the device already had, so running it is safe mid-service. The screen reports success, partial success, offline, or failure, and shows when each piece last synced.
This fixes the large majority of “wrong price on one tablet”.
It is still wrong after a sync
Section titled “It is still wrong after a sync”Then the difference is real, and it is usually one of these:
Channel pricing. A dine-in price and a takeaway price can legitimately differ. Check which channel the order is on before calling it wrong — see Prices by channel.
Tax inclusive or exclusive. A price that looks wrong by the tax amount is a display difference, not a pricing one. Tax and pricing sets this once for the account.
The wrong location. The device follows the location picked in its header, and catalogues can differ per branch. Switching location clears all cached data and reloads products, orders, and floor plan for the new location, so check the header before anything else.
A variant, not the base item. Option prices scale with the channel base price. The number on the button is the base; the line total includes the options chosen.
The category colours differ between tablets
Section titled “The category colours differ between tablets”They are meant to:
Applies on this device only.
Category colours are per device and are not synced. They are a local aid for staff, not a setting.
Nothing is showing at all
Section titled “Nothing is showing at all”No products available — Pull to refresh or sync the menu from this branch.
This device has never synced. Run Sync menu & device data. A new tablet always needs this once before it can sell.
