The onboarding wizard
After you sign up, the dashboard opens on a checklist rather than on the full menu of screens. The checklist is the fastest route to a venue that can take money.
Three steps are required. Two are optional, and the wizard says so.
1. Confirm your venue — required
Section titled “1. Confirm your venue — required”Your address and your opening hours, so customers can find you and so the storefront knows when you are open.
You can add the address under Setup → Locations and the hours under Setup → Business hours; the checklist links straight to both. The step counts as half-done if you have one and not the other.
2. Add your menu — required
Section titled “2. Add your menu — required”One item is enough to take an order. You do not have to finish the whole menu first.
The wizard offers a starter menu you can load as a template and then edit, or you can go straight to Catalog → Products and add items by hand.
3. Choose how you take payment — required
Section titled “3. Choose how you take payment — required”Three options are available today:
| Option | What it means | Verification needed |
|---|---|---|
| Cash and pay-at-counter only | Start selling today. No identity checks, no card processing. | No |
| My own Stripe account | You are already verified with Stripe and are paid directly. | No |
| Card payments through RestroManage | We handle processing. Needs a short business verification. | Yes |
Picking cash only is a real choice, not a placeholder — you can run the venue on it and turn cards on later.
4. Verify your business — required only for one path
Section titled “4. Verify your business — required only for one path”If you chose Card payments through RestroManage, you complete a short business verification. If you chose cash only or your own Stripe account, this step is marked optional and you can skip it.
Verification is the one step that finishes without you doing anything more in RestroManage — it completes when the check comes back. While it is being looked at the step shows In review. If something was wrong it shows Needs changes, and the step reopens so you can correct and resubmit.
5. Set up a till or printer — optional
Section titled “5. Set up a till or printer — optional”The web dashboard can take orders on its own. A printer or a POS tablet makes service faster, but nothing is blocked without one.
See Printers and Sign in and bind a device.
When the checklist is done
Section titled “When the checklist is done”Once the required steps are complete your account moves out of setup and the whole dashboard opens. Nothing you configured during onboarding is lost or has to be redone.
