Business profile

Setup → Business is the first screen in the hub, and the dashboard describes it as Set your business name, brand logos (including the one printed on receipts), and custom storefront domains.

The business name is what appears on your storefront, your receipts and your invoices. It is not the same as a branch name — a group trading as Rossi Group can have branches called Rossi Carlton and Rossi Fitzroy.

Venue type is the more consequential field, and it is easy to set and forget. It seeds the defaults for new branches: which order types, floor tools and extended tenders a branch starts with. The seven types are restaurant, café, bar, quick service, hotel, food truck and other.

Venue type Starts with
Restaurant Dine-in, walk-in, pickup, curbside, staff meal, tables, dining rooms, reservations
Café / Quick service Walk-in, pickup, curbside, staff meal — no dine-in, no tables
Bar Dine-in, walk-in, staff meal, tables, dining rooms, bar tabs
Hotel Dine-in, walk-in, pickup, staff meal, tables, dining rooms, reservations, waitlist, guest room charge, house account
Food truck Walk-in, pickup, staff meal only
Other Same as restaurant

Changing the venue type does not rewrite branches you have already set up. Each branch’s offerings are editable on its own — see Locations and branch offerings.

This is the part people get wrong, so the dashboard spells it out: Kitchen tickets, customer Belege, PDF invoices, and receipt emails all use this primary logo — not the storefront light/dark variants below.

Slot Used by
Primary logo Kitchen tickets, customer receipts, PDF invoices, receipt emails
Light-background logo Your storefront in light mode
Dark-background logo Your storefront in dark mode
Favicon The browser tab icon for your storefront (32×32 or 64×64)

A logo that looks right on screen and illegible on paper is almost always the primary slot left empty with only the storefront variants filled in. Thermal printers are monochrome and about 32 characters wide, so the primary logo wants to be simple and high-contrast.

Address, phone, email and business hours used to live on this screen. They are now per-location, because a group with three branches has three addresses and three sets of hours. The screen says so, with a link straight through to Locations.

If you have one branch, this changes nothing except where you click: set the public phone and email on your single location rather than here.

If your storefront is on a domain of your own, add the full origin — for example https://myrestaurant.com — here. The dashboard explains what that does:

This allowlists CORS and becomes the preferred SEO public URL (canonical, sitemap, JSON-LD) when Marketing & SEO canonical is empty. The platform subdomain is then set to noindex.

In plain terms: your own domain becomes the address search engines index, and your yourname.restromanage.app subdomain stops competing with it. The subdomain keeps working — it is just no longer the one being indexed.

Pointing the domain at us is a DNS change on your side. See What the storefront is.
