Dashboard tour

The sidebar has seven groups. They are in the order a restaurant meets them, not alphabetical.

The home screen: today’s trading at a glance, as a grid of widgets you can rearrange. What each widget actually counts — and why two of them disagree on purpose — is Your home dashboard.

What is happening right now. Orders is the screen floor staff live in, with live order counts on the sidebar entry itself. Dining tables and Reservations sit here too when your branch offers them.

What you sell. Categories and Products are the menu. Inventory is pantry stock and recipes. Pricing rules are scheduled price changes, and Coupons are discount codes.

What you took and what it cost. Reports, the Order voids audit trail, Payments and accounts for card processing, and Fiscal where a country requires fiscal reporting.

Who works here. Users and Roles, Attendance for clock-in and timesheets, Devices for your tills and tablets, and Login attempts.

Everything you configure once and rarely touch: business profile, tax, localisation, reviews, hours, customers, delivery, printers, receipts, legal details, locations, accounting, subscriptions and the Features switchboard. Setup opens as its own hub page with these as sub-pages rather than filling the sidebar.

Your public ordering page: Customize, SEO, Legal pages and Pages.

Three different things hide an entry, and they are worth telling apart:

There is no register, kitchen display or floor-plan screen in the web dashboard. Those are in the POS app on a tablet. See On the POS app.

The dashboard carries this same walkthrough itself, replayable from the question mark in the header. See The guided tour.
