"This feature is not included in the restaurant subscription"

The message is:

This feature is not included in the restaurant subscription.

It is a plan decision, not a fault, and not a permission problem. Something asked for a capability your restaurant’s plan does not carry.

Find out which capability

Open Setup → Features and look for the one you were trying to use. The label tells you exactly where you stand:

That third row is worth checking first. A feature somebody on your own team turned off looks identical from the till, and costs nothing to fix.

If it says Unavailable

Compare plans on What each plan includes. The table there is generated from what each plan can actually use, including prerequisites, so it will not promise you something that would arrive locked.

An upgrade applies immediately — staff do not have to sign out, and nothing needs reinstalling.

If you believe it is in your plan

Two things genuinely cause this:

• A prerequisite you do not have. A plan row can list a feature whose prerequisite sits on a higher plan, and the resolver then leaves it off. Inter-location transfers needs multiple locations, which is Enterprise only.
• A custom arrangement. If we set something specifically for your account it shows as Custom override. Ask us rather than guessing.

The owner’s own view is the one to trust

Staff see the sidebar their permissions allow, so “it is missing for me but there for the owner” usually means a role difference, not a plan one. See A menu entry is missing.
