This device's settings
The app’s Settings screen separates what belongs to the restaurant from what belongs to the device in your hand. Getting that distinction right saves a lot of confusion: a change you make here affects this tablet and nothing else.
| Entry | Scope |
|---|---|
| This device | Station name, sync, device mode, language, display — this device only |
| My profile | Your name, phone, password and PIN |
| Staff | Team members and their roles — the whole restaurant |
| Devices | Every POS station, its name and its Solo/Hub/Waiter mode |
| Restaurant & location | Business details, hours, order acceptance |
| Printers | Receipt and kitchen printers |
| Receipts | Preview the layouts — they are edited in the web dashboard |
| Payment terminals | Card capture and ECR for this device |
Station identity
Section titled “Station identity”Give the device a Station name — Front counter, Bar — and it stops being an anonymous tablet. The screen also shows the device UUID, its mode and its location, which are what you quote if you ever need to ask about one specific device.
Card capture
Section titled “Card capture”Three choices, and they are per device, not per restaurant:
Auto (Tap to Pay / ECR) — best for phones with NFC or a connected reader. The app drives the payment and records it only after the terminal approves. If no reader or NFC is available, you get the same confirm sheet as External terminal.
External terminal — for when this device does not drive the card machine. You enter the amount on your standalone terminal, then tap Card Approved in the app. Nothing is recorded until you confirm.
Disabled — hides Card on Register and on the bill, on this device only. Cash still works. Use it for a station that never takes card.
An Integrated ECR can be added with the terminal’s IP address and port, and tested with Test Connection. If it is not configured and something tries to use it, the app says exactly that: Payment terminal IP not configured.
The customer display
Section titled “The customer display”A second screen — a tablet facing the customer — can mirror the cart as it is rung up, showing the items, quantities, any coupon, the total, and then what was paid, the cash received and the change. It is driven by the sale, so there is nothing to keep in step by hand.
Printing
Section titled “Printing”Printers are discovered and driven by the device over your network or by Bluetooth, and the receipt itself is built on the device, which is why printing survives an internet outage.
- Plans
- Bistro, Brasserie, Signature, Enterprise
- Can it be switched off?
- No. It is part of every plan that includes it and cannot be switched off.
Receipts here is a preview, not an editor:
Preview is exactly what this device will print from the synced layout (local-first). Tap refresh to sync layouts.
The layouts themselves are designed in the dashboard — see Receipts and tickets. If a preview does not match what you changed there, the device has not synced yet.
Diagnostics
Section titled “Diagnostics”App information holds the version, device diagnostics and the legal documents. Quote the version when you report a problem; it is the single most useful thing you can include.
