Trials and what happens when one ends

When you sign up you are put straight onto a trial of the Brasserie plan. You do not enter a card, and the features are not crippled — the plan’s capabilities are live from the first minute, which is deliberate: you cannot evaluate a restaurant system you are not allowed to run a service on.

The trial currently runs for 183 days — about six months on every plan in the catalogue.

Days remaining are always rounded up. A trial with four hours left reads as “1 day left”, not “0”.

Your account status is trial, and it behaves exactly like an active paid account. You can take orders, take payment, close the day, add staff and publish your storefront.

You can subscribe at any point without waiting for the trial to end. See Subscribe. Your remaining trial days are carried into the subscription, so subscribing early does not cost you the rest of the trial.

When the trial ends without a subscription

Section titled “When the trial ends without a subscription”

Your account status becomes suspended, and the dashboard tells you:

Your trial has expired. Subscribe to a plan to re-activate your account.

What that means in practice:

  • Nothing is deleted. Your menu, orders, staff, settings and storefront content stay exactly as they are.
  • Operational screens stop. You cannot take orders or payments.
  • Billing and sign-in still work. You can still log in, view the plans, subscribe, verify a checkout and open the billing portal. Those routes are deliberately never blocked, because the way out of a suspension must not be behind the suspension.

Subscribing re-activates the account immediately. Nothing has to be rebuilt.
