Turn features on and off
Setup → Features is the switchboard for your whole restaurant:
Turn plan features on or off for this restaurant. Items outside your plan stay locked.
It is worth using. A venue with no table service does not need reservations and the floor plan cluttering staff screens, and turning them off is faster than training around them.
Who can do it
Section titled “Who can do it”The manage settings permission — owners and, where you have granted it, managers.
Status labels
Section titled “Status labels”| Label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Active · Included in plan | On and working. |
| Off · Disabled by restaurant | In your plan, switched off here. Switch it back any time. |
| Unavailable | Outside your plan. The Upgrade plan link is shown instead of a switch. |
| Requires prerequisite | Another feature has to be available first; the screen names it. |
| Custom override | We have set this one specifically for your account. |
| Always on | Cannot be switched off. No switch is shown. |
Changes apply immediately — you do not have to sign out, and staff on other devices pick them up without reinstalling anything.
Features that ship switched off
Section titled “Features that ship switched off”Some features are in the plan but start off, so they do not change how service works until you decide to use them. Courses, table sessions, split checks and seat tracking are the main ones. If a POS feature you expect to have is missing, look here before assuming it is a plan problem.
Turning something off does not delete anything
Section titled “Turning something off does not delete anything”Switching a feature off hides it and stops it being used. Your data stays. Switching it back on brings it back as it was.
